This is a song for Kaylyn and Mike Patnode via Kyle George, Kaylyn's brother. Kyle is such an awesome friend and I feel like he may be one of my biggest fans, which continues to make my heart wider and wider! He hired me to write a song to surprise his sister Kaylyn on her wedding day!

Kaylyn and her husband Mike met at the Park and Ride in Princeton, MN (random, yeah!) and their first date was a hay ride. It's a song about growing up in a small town and finally finding love that had always kind of been there.

I surprised them at the reception with this song after dinner. There was a hairy moment right before the reception when the wedding party came into the ballroom as I was setting up -- I hid behind a curtain as they talked to the DJ, just a few feet in front of me - I tried not to move! -- and managed to emerge without being noticed!

I hope they like the song - congratulations Kaylyn and MIke!
